How to Submit a 'New and Noteworthy' Resource
Only IASSIST members can submit new professional resources. All submitted items are moderated by the Resources Section Editor. The editor has supplied a style guide for the resources section, on Google docs. Please consult it before submitting a new resource.
If you are a current member, first login to the system, by giving the username you received by email (e.g., F.Lastname).
Once logged in, under the left menu heading, User Options, click on Create content.
Click on Resource.
Supply a title and one of three categories (Data Management and Curation, Data Sources, or Tools & Apps). Only select a 'vocabulary' item if you are submitting to the Data Management and Curation category. Type in free text tags, separated by commas, in the box called Resource Tags. If there is a pre-existing tag starting with the same letters, it will appear below the box and can be selected.
Fill in the Body field with your description/recommendation of the resource. Try to use your own words rather than pasting from the website. Do not paste directly from a Word document; paste only plain text.
Fill in the title and URL(s) of the resource. When finished click Save or Preview.
